In this workshop, we will use the human form as a tool to express varied content related to contemporary issues. A glimpse into our feeling of belonging to a larger community, of perceiving without being perceived. This sensation of being inserted into the current world opens up infinite possibilities for using the theme of the Human Figure as a motive for technical and conceptual exploration. They are in the squares, on the sidewalks, in the shops, in the restaurants; they are in the contemporary environment and will serve as references for our work.
You will learn:
About the work of contemporary artists who address Portrait and Human Body painting. You will understand and appropriate the creative process and come to your own conclusions about presenting the theme. We will experiment with different materials, deconstructing, abstracting, and reinventing with inspiration from everyday references; you will discover possibilities of creative expressions with the theme, accumulating repertoire for your original work. You will also connect with other art enthusiasts in a welcoming and creative group environment.
The meeting will be held via the Google Meetings platform. The link will be sent to registered participants half an hour before the workshop. A support group will be created on WhatsApp with the registered participants.
Technical material and recording will be provided to the registered participants and to those who cannot attend live. Observations will be made on the exercises and individual follow-up for those who participate live and for those who watch the recording.
WKSHP RÁPIDO VOS is an unprecedented series of monthly short-duration workshops that are part of the VOS School of Art and Creativity method, with two simultaneous instructors and a one-day duration. Participants are challenged with intense creative stimuli that reflect in their original work and in their daily lives.
